Fire Safety

 
Objective: Students should know how to Stop, Drop & Roll (if on fire), Get Low and Go (crawl under smoke), and get to an exit. The importance of exiting in case of a fire should be stressed. You could also bring up calling 911, though this will be covered more thoroughly the same week we cover paramedics.

Activity:

• Fire Drill, Stop Drop and Roll, Get low and go practice (hang white & black balloons for smoke & set up yellow, orange, or red balloons somewhere fire. Have kids practice crawling under smoke and getting to an exit.
